IT IS FINISHED!!!!! This is the before and after picture of our kitchen. The before picture is of the kitchen before we even moved in! My friend was really into the whole Shabby Chic style.

My dad with his granddaughters! My dad is such a GREAT grandpa! He just adores them and they adore him as well. He is that "classic" kind of grandpa that just plays with them, tickles them, and spoils them. He is their Grandpa Pepper! My parents got to come for almost about one week before Christmas, so it was a real treat. Unfortunately, I didn't take ONE picture during Christmas. I don't know where my head was. I was enjoying watching them open presents and eating and visiting with family too much to pull out the camera I guess. Or we can just blame it on pregnancy! :) We had a great Christmas with Matthew's parents, grandma, and Leah. Matthew's cousin Carmen came with her boyfriend for a few days as well and it was such great company. We got along great and enjoyed their time with us. I must say though that I had a bit of the Christmas blues the day after. It is such a wonderful season and there is so much anticipation up to "the day", and then it comes and goes and it is all over. Well, I hope you all had as great of a Christmas as we did AND that you have a wonderful New Year as well!

I walked outside of our church after a day's work and this was the sunset. I love big cities, but there is something so wonderful about living in a place most city folk would call the country.

Kitchen remodel!!! So fun! Actually today we get our countertops, so we are really excited. But I was amazed after I took this picture the difference a stove and hood make it the look of everything! Our new fridge will be coming this week as well, and then it will all match! Yeah!!! I will show you the finished product when it is finished! :)

Sophie bought this little skateboard a number of months ago. Both the girls love playing on it. It was Mattie's turn and Sophie was being a great big sister and helping her move back and forth.

So, we were enjoying the beautiful winter day in Roseburg outside, while Matthew was hanging lights. The second picture my girls are not meditating, despite what it looks like, they were "posing" like flowers, apparently! Oh the joy of girls!

After much persuasion, Matthew finally got up on the roof to hang our Christmas lights! I love Christmas lights!!! And this year we have twinkling stars! :) Matthew hung all of them, which we had from last year. We needed to buy one more strand to make it fit, so I did, and of coarse, that brand new strand went bad on us, after he had hung them. Soooo...I went and purchased another one, he got up there again, and replaced it, and what do you know, this one didn't work either! So frustrating. So needless to say, we are 10 feet short of Christmas lights at the end of our house and it is going to be that way for this season. He is not going to be getting up there again. And I don't blame him! :)

I actually got a bit crafty for this one. I saw a decorated tree in a store and the bulbs were so pretty, but it was like $4 per bulb! I just can't justify paying that much for a bulb on our budget. SOOO, I decided to make my own. These don't look anything like the one's in the store, but when I was in the craft store, I saw these transfer words and thought it would be fun to put them on some bulbs. So, Matthew and I did a craft project and we were pleased with the results! I feel so Martha Stewarty!!!

Can you see my Christmas Tree past the little camera hog! :) This year we opted for a fake one. I have always been opposed to this thought, but I must say, it was so nice to put up, all pre-lit, no mess, no watering, no fire hazard. Just plug and go!!! And I wanted to try out a white one as well. We borrowed this one from my sister this year to see how we liked it before we purchase one for ourselves. Matthew and I might just be fake tree people from now on. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!! Let the festivities begin!
