Christmas this year was INNNNSAAANNNEEE!!! I actually felt a little guilty walking away with all that we got this year. My mom, bless her heart, went a little overboard this year. I don't want to sound ungrateful, because we really scored this year with all of our presents, but it was so overwhelming to get so much. On another note, it was so nice to be with my entire family at Christmas this year. I love them with all my heart and I am so grateful God placed me in the family he did!

The ONLY thing we got the girls this year was our tradition of matching pajamas from Old Navy! I love little kids bellys! They don't care that they bulge out...what freedom!!! :)

Like most kids, the art of standing on your head is a BIG deal. Mattie has begun to discover the thrill of seeing her world upside down!!! Perpsective is everything! :)

After many hours of opening presents, the girls would say "do we have to open more presents mommy?" So, they took a break in one of the boxes!

Sophie dressed up in some of Corrina and my dance clothes from when we were kids. This is Sophie's "famous" pose. She is all about the cuteness!

I know!!!! I haven't been blogging! But it hasn't been by choice. My computer has gone crazy and I cannot get on it at all, we are working on the problem. So I have to steal moments on the computer while Matthew is home with his laptop. Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon. Sorry I haven't been able to post any pictures of Christmas. They will be coming, so stay tuned....

Happy New Year everyone!

So this week, Sophie and Mattie have got to meet and play with a lot of new friends! It is one thing to be great friends with someone, but then when you get to see your children playing together, it takes a friendship to a whole other level! This is Jim and Tammie's boy, Matthew! Mattie fell in love with him. He was crying in the right picture and she was so concerned! She was screaming and reaching for him when they had to go! The following pictures are of Sophie and Matties new friends from this week! Posted by Picasa

Last Sunday we had the kids singing Christmas songs in church! The kids at the end all sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. Sophie looked so adorable and actually sang, unlike last year where she just stood looking really mad! Posted by Picasa

So, every year we get Sophie and Mattie's picture taken with Santa. Last year they both did great, but then again, Mattie was only 6 months old. This year, she was pointing and waving at Santa when we were on the outside of the fence, but when we went in, a whole other side of Mattie came out....the "what on earth or you doing sitting me on this strangers lap" side came out. I don't mind. It makes me laugh. I am certainly not one of those mothers who have to have the "perfect" picture, in my eyes, this is the perfect picture! What fun!

On another note, we are in Maple Valley now after a grooling trip from Roseburg! We left Roseburg yesterday at 11:30am and arrived in Portland (only a 3 hour drive) at 8:00pm. We hit freezing rain and what normally takes 30 minutes to drive took us over 3 hours. It was so horrible. I thought we were never going to escape that highway. But finally we arrived and had a great night sleep at our friends home, Luke and Gwen with their two boys, Noah and Elisha! It is always so much fun to see their family. The kids have a lot of fun playing together! We left there this morning and are finally at my parents! Hooray!!! I will take some pictures of all of the presents. It is excessive (to say the least)! So, if any of you are in town this week and remember where the Stratton's live, stop on by and say hello!!!!!

Merry Christmas my blogging friends! I love you all! Posted by Picasa

Sophie got earmuffs! They are not your average earmuffs, they stick out from the side of her head like 3 inches! Matthew's mom got them for her. She loves wearing them, especially since they have Barbie on them! So, for all that will see us in Maple Valley next week, beware of getting side swiped by them! Posted by Picasa

Another future bribery picture of Mattie! This is her "scary" face. She has her "surprised" face, her "happy" face, her "silly" face, but this is the best one of them all! Hope you don't get too scared looking at it! :) Posted by Picasa

During the girls naptime last week we decorated for Christmas. When they woke up, Sophie just walked on by like nothing was different, Mattie on the other hand noticed everything and was oohing and aahhing. It was so cute! Posted by Picasa

Little Miss Sophia dressing herself! She doesn't take after the Stratton's at all!!! She loves to play dress up, unfortunately, she loves to play dress up about 4 or 5 times a day, which gives me a lot of laundry! :) Posted by Picasa
