Leah just turned the big 30. We had a nice celebration at Los Dos Amigos with about 25-30 people. Of coarse, they lost our reservation, so it was a scramble at the last minute to fit all of us in, in the same section. They managed, we managed, and all was well. Happy Birthday my dear sister-in-law. I love you very much.

Well folks, she not only got a man, she got the "perfect" man. What more can a girl ask for!

This last weekend Matthew and I took a bunch of our youth and young adults to Generation Unleashed, in Portland, Oregon. What a wonderful weekend it was. For those of you who don't know, it is a HUGE conference for youth and young adults, but on by City Bible Church. There were 16 of us that went.

Just when I think my computer woe's are over, it goes out on me again! Very frustrating. But don't fear, I have a new one being built for me by Dell as we speak. Hopefully I will have my new computer (laptop) by Valentine's day! I am so excited to have one. I will be able get a lot more done being able to take my work home with me. I don't know if that is good or bad! :)
This is Mattie lying on the hard floor. This wouldn't be all that interesting, except that she does this all the time, anywhere we are. At Lowe's it is a cement floor, and if we stop in an aisle for any length of time, it is a sure bet that she will be lying on the floor. It cracks us up. Boy does she have a fun (and strong) personality!

I have a budding photographer on my hands, yes, Sophie! She actually took this picture. And she took some others that turned out great as well! Mattie wasn't too excited about it, but Sophie sure felt like a "Big Girl". Thta is really important these days!

So, one day at home I was trying to take a few pictures of me and the girls. Mattie didn't quite make it in the picture, but we sure had fun trying.

During Christmas, my mom and Corrina took Sophie to see the Nutcracker! A few weeks ago, they sent Sophie a package in the mail with her very own Nutcracker inside! He now sleeps on her window ledge next to her bed.

I have posted a bunch of pictures below, but I have to tell you I just read the FUNNIEST blog entry I have ever read. Whether you know
Tony Allen or not, you have to go to his blog and read his story! Matthew and I were rolling over laughing, tears coming out of my eyes! Thanks Tony for sharing your story! It was good medicine! :)

Today, we put on some music, good ole country music...Chris Leadeux to be exact and we did a little family dancing. It was so much fun. I took some pictures of daddy and daughter dancing! I love that so much! Matthew is such a wondeful dad to his girls!

Yesterday (Saturday) Matthew and I took our Jr. and Sr. High kids ice skating. We had a blast. It is amazing how out of shape your ankles are! You wouldn't know it, until you go ice skating! This is a picture of my and my beautiful sister-in-law Leah! She is our Jr. High Girls Small group leader and is great at it! And for those of you who know Kyle Winter, he is in the back left corner and he is ENGAGD!!! Yeah for Kyle!

Matthew got behind me and pushed me all around the ice skating rink. It was quite nice! So, of coarse, I took a picture! I love digital cameras!

Parenting a child like Mattie can be a challenge at times. She is strong willed, determined, likes to do things her way and by herself. BUT she is also full of life, energy, and is so funny. So, when moments like these happen, where she just stops...and cuddles...and if we are lucky falls asleep...we cherish these moments so much! (and then blog it of coarse!)

Mattie got a new ballerina skirt for christmas. She looked like a pink hoola dancer running around our house!

While we were up in Maple Valley, my mom got her bathroom remodeled by none other than my husband!!! (and my dad!) He put in beautiful tile, a new sink, toilet, wanes(sp?) coating, crown molding and a fresh coat of paint! My dad almost started crying when they finally installed the new toilet. It can flush 100 feet of toilet paper in one flush! And in my family, that is not excessive! ha ha :)
