So, every year we get Sophie and Mattie's picture taken with Santa. Last year they both did great, but then again, Mattie was only 6 months old. This year, she was pointing and waving at Santa when we were on the outside of the fence, but when we went in, a whole other side of Mattie came out....the "what on earth or you doing sitting me on this strangers lap" side came out. I don't mind. It makes me laugh. I am certainly not one of those mothers who have to have the "perfect" picture, in my eyes, this is the perfect picture! What fun!

On another note, we are in Maple Valley now after a grooling trip from Roseburg! We left Roseburg yesterday at 11:30am and arrived in Portland (only a 3 hour drive) at 8:00pm. We hit freezing rain and what normally takes 30 minutes to drive took us over 3 hours. It was so horrible. I thought we were never going to escape that highway. But finally we arrived and had a great night sleep at our friends home, Luke and Gwen with their two boys, Noah and Elisha! It is always so much fun to see their family. The kids have a lot of fun playing together! We left there this morning and are finally at my parents! Hooray!!! I will take some pictures of all of the presents. It is excessive (to say the least)! So, if any of you are in town this week and remember where the Stratton's live, stop on by and say hello!!!!!

Merry Christmas my blogging friends! I love you all! Posted by Picasa
