It hurts even looking at myself!!! So, this is my outfits on my days off at home. Belly exposed, and black to make me look slimmer (kidding). We had a false alarm on Sunday. Contractions were 4 minutes apart. So, we got to go into the hospital and get all checked out. They monitored me for a number of hours and my cervix (sp?) was not doing anything so they gave me some shot and medication to stop the contractions. That didn't work the first time, so they hit me again with it and then said to go home. I was at 36 weeks and 2 days and they were not wanting me to have her this early, they want to atleast hold off until I am 37. So today, I had a check up and my cervix is just barely starting to open. I am having contractions, but they are very far apart and irregular. So, we are waiting. If I get to 5 - 7 minutes apart and my cervix continues to have activity, then they may just take this little one out early (c-section). There is no need for me to go into active labor since I can't do anything about it. So although I am praying for God's timing, I am also hopeful that I don't have to wait until the 12th to have this baby. I think she may come early. We will just have to wait and see!!! Thank God for mother's like mine who drop everything and come down to help me since I am on orders to do hardly anything. It is nice to have her here taking care of me and the girls (an Matthew!).

So, that is about it. I am once again, a lady in waiting...just in a different manner now!

On another note, I just want to wish my sister-in-law, Leah a wonderful happy birthday. I love you so much and you are such a great auntie and sister. No one compares to you! And my brother Steve who's birthday is in 2 days! You have and always will be the blessing in our family. We wouldn't be the same without you. I love you dearly and am so proud of the man you are becoming. You are a man of God and I think you are fabulous! Happy Birthday to the both of you. Maybe Lily will come on one of your birthday's!!!

Well, after 4 1/2 years of never having scissors come near her head, we made the plunge last night and wacked it off. Sophie had her first haircut. It was quite the ordeal, a big moment in the Schlesinger home. Sophie was very excited, mainly b/c she won't have to sit so long after bathtime to get all the knots and rats out of her hair while I brush it. I must admit, I am a bit excited about that as well. She loves her shorter hair though. I love it as well, she looks so grown up. The only sad thing is that she lost her little curls. I was hoping that they would bounce back up, but they did not. Matthew took it the hardest. He had such a sad look on his face after it was all done. But I reassured him that hair always grows back. The following pictures are before the cut, during the cut, and all done!!!

So here is my Mattie. All cheeks! She was so proud of herself getting all of these necklaces on. They kind of remind me of the New Orleans beads, but she didn't have to reveal anything for these ones! :)

I am glad to say that I finally have a date set for my c-section!!! Yeah!!!! This little girl will be born on Feb 12 at 11am, unless of coarse she decides she wants to come even earlier! I would have no objections to that. But, we are thrilled to have something set on the calendar so we can make the necessary plans. My actual due date was the 23, so it is nice to have it set so much earlier. I am big, uncomfortable, itchy, aching and ready for this baby to be born. It feels like I have been pregnant for so long. I guess that is what happens when you plan a child being born, so you know within two weeks of conception. So, our Cancun conceived little one will be joining our family in almost one month. Hurray!!!!

I am a little nervous for the transition to three, but I know that if God asked me to have this child, He is also faithful to provide me the strength and grace to raise her. I think the most fun thing is to always see what their little personalities turn out to be. I can't imagine what Lily will be like. Sophie and Mattie are so opposite. I think Sophie is a Meloncholy and Mattie is sooo Choleric. Maybe I will be blessed with a Phlegmatic in honor of my friend Tammie! One that is laid back and easy going. All I know is she will be a blessing. Happy pregnancies to all the rest of you that are pregnant. I think there must have been a blogger bug going around to get us all pregnant or something!
