So, we have had a lot of rain this year! A LOT! We once had this great office that was on our property that we used in the summer time to pray and study and just get away when needed. What an awesome addition to our home it was. Then the rain hit and saturated the floor. We didn't go into it for a few months b/c it was so cold and rainy and muddy. When we did go in, this is what we found, walls infested with mold and a carpet that was growing mushrooms! It was beyound repair, so that meant that Matthew had to tear it down. The following are some pictures of our demolishing weekend! Posted by Picasa

My man working hard at tearing this shed apart! I didn't have to do much, if at all, to encourage him to destroy and demolish the shed. He was ALL over it! Posted by Picasa

It is about to fall! So, I went into the garage for not even 2 minutes to get Matthew something and he pushed it all the way down while I was gone! No fair! Distroying things are fun! Posted by Picasa

Hey there! Just thought I would post a picture of myself since it has been awhile. Matthew and I have decided on a location!!! Cancun!!! Yeah. We are planning on leaving the 1st of June for 4 to 5 days ALL BY OURSELVES!!! Some of you may have heard, but we are trying to get pregnant with our 3rd and final baby! It is a sweet story actually. I was certain I was done having children after Mattie. Anyone who has had a collicky (sp?) baby can probably understand why. I kept telling people, "I am totally done having kids, the only way I will have another child is if I hear from God directly." By the way, I wasn't planning on hearing from God on this. So, Matthew and I went up to a conference last month in Kirkland and God was speaknig some direct things for our ministry and youth church that we pastor. We were very excited about all of that. Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere and completely unexpected, I heard God's still small voice speak to me about having another child. He gave me some specific promises about this third child and a desire that I was far from having. So, I began to just cry. Matthew started ministering to me, with no idea of what I was about to tell him. I looked at him and said, "I have something BIG to tell you." He said, "Good or bad?" and of coarse I said good. He was shocked when I told him that God told us to have another child. He was never opposed to having more, but he was also supportive of my previous decision to not have any more. So....that night we threw away the pills and have been having fun ever since!!!! :) So, now the timing is up to God and the gender is up to God. We are not trying to have a baby boy, although that would be wonderful, we are simply being obedient to God and having our third child. We might even wait until birth to find out the gender. But, who knows, we may change our minds on that half way through the pregnancy. So, I will keep you posted as to when we get pregnant!  Posted by Picasa

They are married! And off to Ireland for two weeks! Yesterday Kyle and Brandee got married in a beautiful and hot outdoor wedding. It was supposed to be a pleasent 68 degrees, but ended up being 80 degrees. It didn't rain though, and we are all happy about that. It was a great wedding for those that missed it. Kyle was so excited and Brandee was simply beautiful. Brandee has been living with us for the last two months and will be missed, but we are glad their day finally arrived! Waiting to get married is always a challenge! :) So, here are a few pictures of the day! Enjoy.

Sophie enjoyed the day of getting the princess treatment. She got her hair professionally done, her make up done, got to wear a gorgeous dress, and got to walk down the aisle with one of her best friends holding his hand! She was so tired by the end of the day, but amazed both Matthew and I by her attitude all day. I think she was born to be pampered and the center of attention. What do you think!?!

Bryce and Sophie - one of her best friends - were the ring bearer and flower girl. They had a great time and did such a great job! I just love this picture!

Uncle Steve got to come down for the wedding. We only got to spend a few minutes with him, but it was still worth it!

Trying to get away! Matthew and I are searching for a romantic get-a-way for just the two of us! We want somewhere that is HOT and relaxing. Got any great ideas for about $1500 or less!? Let us know.

I know this picture is a bit blurry, but I love it anyways. I have such a great husband, and quite frankly I don't brag on him enough. He is a wonderful father, a great husband to me, and such a man of God! There is NO ONE I would rather be with then Matthew. He always tells me that his family got the "better deal" when they got me, but I am positive that the Stratton family scored! I love you Matthew with ALL of my heart. You are my best friend, my closest confidant, my laughter, my leader and my love.

My baby is 2!!!!!! Today we celebrated Mattie's second birthday (which her actual birthday is tomorrow - April 9). All the Schlesinger's were there AND Auntie Corrina, which was a real treat! Mattie is certainly my fireball. Every night I ask her, "are you my world changer?, risk taker?, girl of God?" and she answers, "uh huh" to all of it! She is such a joy to have in our family. It has been a challenging two years, but I wouldn't trade it or her for anything!
